Ankama's description
Edit
Just because they're see-through, it doesn't mean the Gemlin doesn't have anything between its ears. On the contrary! This strange little creature - half Blop, half Jelly - probably knows more about the flood than anyone...
On that extraordinary day, the Gemlins had front-row seats: when Ogrest's tears started to engulf the world, the Gemlins took it upon themselves to absorb the extra moisture. Working together, they started soaking and sponging and didn't let up for anything! By absorbing the flood waters, they filled themselves with memories which almost drowned in the Dofus Era.
From then on, the Gemlins took over the role of guiding the newcomers by sharing the knowledge they had filled themselves with.
Customising your Gemlin
Edit
A Gemlin can be customized with various gems. These are obtained by completing achievements. There are two categories of gemligems. Only 1 can be equiped at a time.
Face Gems
Edit
Face gems change the facial features of the Gemlin. For a complete list of Face Gems, see Gemlin/Face Gem.
Skin Gems
Edit
The skin changes the mode of your Gemlin. For a complete list of Skin Gems, see Gemlin/Skin Gem.
History
Edit
The Gemlin used to be the only pet in the game, which was planned to be completely customizable with boost and cosmetic gems, however this idea was scrapped in the last month of beta.
